What: The Endurance of Billy Loutit
When: Sat/Sun July21/22 and July 28/29 @ 7:30pm
Where: Athabasca Riverfront
What: Presented by Theatre Athabasca- tells the story of Billy Loutit’s run during the 1904 flood Athabasca Flood. Free show, bring a camping chair or blanket to watch. Sponsored by: Athabasca County Tourism and Economic Development Committee, Athabasca Heritage Society, the Town of Athabasca, and Athabasca University.
What: Customer Appreciation Pancake Breakfast
When: July 20, 2018 at 8am
Where: Athabasca Riverfront-stage area.
What: Everyone is welcome to join the Athabasca and District Chamber of Commerce members for a free coffee and pancake breakfast to show appreciation to all the Chamber member’s customers. Rain or shine event.
What: Fly in BBQ
When: Saturday July 21st, 2018 from 11am-2pm
Where: Athabasca Regional Airport
What: All types of aircrafts are welcome. Actitives for the kids and giveaways. Joining the fly in BBQ- Alberta Fish & Wildlife Awareness Trailer, CASARA, STARS, Athabasca Regional Fire Services, Athabasca Classic Cruisers Cars AND Barry Pendrak’s Aerobatics Display with his Skybolt Bi-plane. Please arrive before Noon, as the access road to the airport will be closed during the Air Show.

Where: Boyle Ag Grounds
What: Rodeo performances Friday 5pm, Saturday and Sunday at 1pm.
Horseshow Tournament Friday/Saturday Mixed Open, 16 year or older, $40 entry, cash prizes.
Free Camping all weekend. Farmers Market, Beer Gardens, Kids Activities, Wagon Rides, Mechanical Bull.
Steak Dinner on Saturday. Plus Kory Wlos in concert Saturday- doors open 7pm, show starts 9pm.
Cowboy Church 10am Sunday morning.

DETAILS: Everyone over 18 is welcome to come play Bingo. A concession will be available.

WHAT: Diabetes Support Group
WHEN: First Thursday of every month 2pm-3pm
WHERE: Aspen PCN Office
DETAILS: Stop in and network with others in the community; available to people living with diabetes, relatives and caregivers of people with diabetes. Your chance to share tips, recipes and talk about any issues you might face.
An Aspen PCN nurse will be available to answer any questions.

DETAILS: Everyone is welcome to join in the crib night at the Athabasca Legion. Cost is $3 per player. Evening features lots of games of crib and a 50-50 draw!
WHAT: River Ramblers Square Dancing
WHEN: Friday’s at 7pm
WHERE: Turnabout Avenue Place
DETAILS: The Athabasca River Ramblers is the local square dancing group. Everyone welcome to come try it out! Perfect night out for couples or individuals. Great exercise! Cost is $6 for drop in.
